The Institute for Simulation and Training, University of Central Florida seeks technical support to conduct simulation and training technologies research. This position requires an individual pursuing a degree in computer science or computer engineering (Junior/Senior level).
Job Responsibilities:
o Provide project expertise in programming and development using one or more of the following:
C++/Java/Python software languages
Database programming (E.g.> SQL)
Linux operating system
Mobile App Development in Android
Arduino Sketch
3-D modeling software packages
Distributed Architecture (network) TCP/IP
Unity game engine development
Visual Development environments- IntelliJ, Kdevelop and Eclipse
o Support integration of identified software systems in a lab setting.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Students pursuing a degree in computer science or computer engineering are preferred. Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. Ability to use critical thinking and analysis to assess problems assigned.
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office, programming/development expertise as defined above.
Anticipated work hours: 15-25 per week
