Conversion of Waste Methane into Value-added Materials - Florida Space Institute


With a global warming potential over 80x greater than carbon dioxide, methane is an important greenhouse pollutant.  Although burning methane reduces its warming potential by conversion to carbon dioxide, catalytic processing offers the potential for the realization of economic development as well as emission mitigation.  This effort will address the reduction of anthropogenic methane emissions through the conversion of methane to high-value and useful products.
