Mechanisms of Cancer Progression and Cardiac Diseases - Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences


Investigate mechanisms underlying human cancers and cardiac diseases using molecular, cellular, sigling, and animal biology technologies and models to find new bio-markers or bio-targets for prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of the diseases.

Student Responsibilities

Student candidates are encouraged who are truly interested in doing research, publishing their work in high-profile scientific jourls, and ultimately finding cures for patients. Those are discouraged who choose to do research ONLY for obtaining research credits for future application to medical, dental and law schools or even graduate schools.

Outstanding academic performance. Previous lab research experience is a plus.
