Joining this research project is a kind of historical treasure-hunt. In it, we seek to discover connections between American foresters and German biologists during the early 1940s. The faculty lead on this project seeks an undergraduate researcher capable of translating from German to seek out these connections in archival materials from three separate sources. Contingent on findings, the student will be invited to work with the faculty mentor on a publication. This position is a volunteer research position with the possibility of funding (contingent on availability of research funds). German translation capacity is a requirement. Work can be remote, with meetings by Zoom.
