The Educational Testing Service (ETS) Field Test in Political Science is a comprehensive undergraduate outcomes assessment designed to measure critical knowledge and understanding obtained by test takers in the UCF Political Science and International & Global Studies major field of study. It goes beyond factual knowledge by evaluating test takers’ ability to analyze and solve problems, understanding relationships and interpret material from their major field of study.
Test takers must complete the Political Science Exit Exam during the test taker’s graduating semester.

The ETS Major Field Test in Political Science is computerized and consists of approximately 130 multiple-choice questions. Test takers will have two (2) hours to complete the test.
The office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works in collaboration with the University Testing Center (UTC) to ensure that reasonable accommodations are made for students with documented disabilities. Students with disabilities seeking accommodations for placement tests must have approval from the SAS office (407-823-2371 or sas@ucf.edu). Note: test takers should allow at least two (2) weeks for SAS and UTC to process the accommodation request once the formal request has been submitted to SAS.
Once UTC receives notification from the SAS office of a test takers testing accommodations, a UTC staff member will notify the student via email.
Note: Test-takers seeking to test with accommodations must schedule their appointment time for Monday-Friday at 12:45 PM or earlier.
The cost for the Political Science Exit Exam is $45.00. This cost includes a $3.50 RegisterBlast convenience fee for online payments. All costs paid to the University Testing Center are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Review the University Testing Center’s policies prior to test day. Items such as outwear (hoodies, sweaters, jackets, pullovers, cardigans, any form of second layer clothing), watches, and electronic devices are not permitted into the test room. All appointments must be booked a minimum of 24 hours prior to the desired date/time. To schedule an appointment, navigate to RegisterBlast.
After completing the registration process, check your email for the test registration confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email, you must contact UTC during normal business hours to check your appointment status.

Appointments may be rescheduled up to (3) days/72 hours prior to your current test date and time at no cost.

What if I miss my appointment?
Students who missed their appointment, fail to reschedule their exam appointment 72 hours prior to the scheduled appointment date/time, or is turned away by the test center staff (for any reason), all costs associated with these actions will become the responsibility of the student.
The cost for a missed/forfeited in person appointment is $45.
The cost for a missed/forfeited remote appointment (this includes missed appointments for technical issues with the administration of online exams) is $50.
Test takers can only take the Political Science Exit Exam once. Failure to take the test at the registered time will result in potential fees and potentially delay graduation.
Scores from the Political Science Exit Exam will be provided to your Political Science Academic Advisor.
