Winter Break Closure

UCF offices, including the University Testing Center, will be closed from December 19, 2024, through January 1, 2025. Normal operations will resume on January 2, 2025. For detailed information about our policies, procedures, and services, please navigate this site using the main menu.

Current and Transfer Students

The Math Placement Test (MPT) is required for all current and transfer students who have not earned credit for MAT 1033-Intermediate Algebra or earned “C” (2.0) or better in MAC 1105-College Algebra at UCF, or another college or university. If your major requires a math course that you have not already taken, you must have evidence you have taken the prerequisite course (or are in progress of taking the prerequisite course) or take the MPT. Most students transferring to UCF from another institution will not need to take the MPT. The MPT must be taken prior to registering for UCF math courses or a student will need to begin their math sequence by enrolling in MAT 1033-Intermediate Algebra.

If you believe you may need to complete the MPT, please complete the math placement contact form for further assistance, making sure to include any college level math courses you may have completed (at any institution) and the grade you received in each course. Please indicate “Eligibility Status” in the Subject line.
