General FAQ
How long would I meet with a PeerKnight?
PeerKnights sessions are about 45 minutes long. During your initial session, you will most likely come up with some short-term goals to help you accomplish your long-term goals. After your initial session, you can schedule a follow-up appointment with you PeerKnight to check back in and update them on the progress you made towards accomplishing your goals. We recommend meeting with a PeerKnight several times over one or two semesters.
Is PeerKnights a free service provided to students?
Yes. PeerKnights is a free service.
Is this the same as Academic Success Coaching?
PeerKnights is NOT academic coaching. PeerKnights connect you with resources and help you work towards accomplishing your goals. While it is not academic advising, PeerKnights can help you find and get connected with your Academic Success Coaching and plan for coaching appointments.
What is PeerKnights?
PeerKnights is a one-on-one academic coaching program that empowers you to thrive personally and academically. PeerKnights meet with you and connect you with resources offered at UCF to help you succeed at your goals.
Who are the PeerKnights?
PeerKnights are students who will help you navigate UCF. The PeerKnights are successful academically and are engaged in the many programs and opportunities UCF offers. They share their experiences, answer your questions and connect you to campus resources. Every PeerKnight was selected and hired based on their diverse involvement and knowledge about UCF.
Who can meet with a PeerKnight?
All UCF undergraduate students can meet with a PeerKnight!
