Effective Fall 2021, UCF has updated it undeclared student policy.
All University of Central Florida students must officially declare a major that leads to degree progression prior to earning 45 college credit hours (this includes credits earned from college-level exam placement, Dual Enrollment, advanced placement, and international baccalaureate). Undeclared students will have mandatory academic advising requirements facilitated by the Knights Major Exploration and Transition Center (KMETC). New and current students may choose the undeclared major and work with the KMETC in determining an appropriate undergraduate major.
Beginning August 30, 2021, all undergraduate undeclared students will be required to participate in the Major Exploration Program (MEP). Working with KMETC Academic Advisors and Peer Advisors, undeclared students will receive a personalized exploration plan based on their specific goals and needs. On this day any undergraduate student who is undeclared in myUCF will automatically be enrolled in the program.
