Undergraduate Researchers Gathered at UCF
On February 18-19, over 750 colleagues from across Florida gathered at UCF’s main campus at the 2022 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC).
This year’s conference included remarks by UCF President Alexander Cartwright and Theodorea Regina Berry, Ed.D., vice provost for Student Learning and Academic Success and dean of the College of Undergraduate Studies. The conference began with a reception that included a keynote speaker from Limbitless Solutions. Day two focused on poster presentations and workshops. 416 research and creative scholarship posters were presented form 35 institutions in the state of Florida.
“FURC was an outstanding opportunity for student presenters to hone skills, such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving,” said Kimberly Schneider, Ph.D., assistant vice provost, Student Learning and Academic Success, and chair, UCF FURC planning committee.
Schneider continued, “The best part of the conference was watching students share research, meet with peers, and become comfortable in a professional setting.”
