UCF offices, including the University Testing Center, will be closed from December 19, 2024, through January 1, 2025. Normal operations will resume on January 2, 2025. For detailed information about our policies, procedures, and services, please navigate this site using the main menu.
ACT On-Campus (or Residual) Testing is conducted at UTC for students who are enrolled, have been admitted, or are applying to UCF and cannot take the ACT on a national test date because the date does not meet UCF admissions deadlines. Test-takers who do not intend to attend UCF must not take the ACT On-Campus Test at this center.
The ACT On-Campus test is scheduled by request. To request a test date for a group or for an individual, please email utc@ucf.edu. Group test dates for more than two students should be requested at least one to two months in advance, but earlier is better. Individual test dates are scheduled as space allows, and usually require at least one to two week’s notice.
*Please note: There is a minimum 60-day waiting period before re-testing. Refer to the ACT On-Campus Test (Residual) Re-test policy for more information.
Appointments may be rescheduled up to 2 weeks prior to your scheduled test date/time at no cost by following the instructions below.
How to Reschedule
All testing costs paid directly to the University Testing Center (UTC) are non-refundable and non-transferable. Appointments may be rescheduled up to 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled test date and time at no cost. To reschedule within 2 weeks, test-takers would need to email a cancellation notice to UTC and schedule a new appointment, including full repayment of the test cost. Missed appointments will require full repayment of the test cost, this includes cancelation or arrivals more than 15-minutes late.
If a test-taker previously tested via the ACT On-Campus Test (Residual) or any other non-national testing, the retest should be taken on a National ACT date. If this is not possible, test-takers may retake the ACT On-Campus Test. A minimum of 60 days must elapse before another ACT On-Campus Test may be taken. ACT restricts the number of times a test-taker may take the ACT (National or On-Campus Test) to 12 times total. Scores achieved before the minimum elapsed time and scores that exceed the maximum total attempts will be canceled without refund.
The ACT On-Campus Test (formerly known as the Residual) is an alternative to the national ACT test that enables colleges to proctor and self-score an ACT test form on their campus. Scores from the ACT On-Campus Test taken at the University of Central Florida (UCF) can only be used at this institution.
ACT On-Campus Test is limited to students who are enrolled, have been admitted, or are applying to UCF and cannot take the ACT on a national test date because the date does not meet UCF admissions deadlines. Students who do not intend to attend UCF are not eligible to take the ACT On-Campus Test at this location.
Yes, students taking the ACT On-Campus Test at UCF are subject to the following restrictions:
