The University Testing Center (UTC) is located on the first floor of Howard Phillips Hall in room 106. The center offers a secure and comfortable environment that includes a computer testing lab with 46 testing stations as well as a traditional paper-and-pencil testing facility. Annually, UTC administers over 10,000 standardized examinations.

UTC strives to meet the needs of UCF students, prospective students, alumni, and the greater Orlando metropolitan area by providing a wide variety of testing services such as CLEP (College Level Examination Program), Distance Learning, Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT), and many others in order to foster excellence in higher education and create opportunities for success.

UTC has also been recognized for over seventeen consecutive years as one of the top 100 CLEP test center in the nation administering the most CLEP tests.


Mission Statement

The mission of the University Testing Center is to assist UCF students and the surrounding community in assessing their knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to higher and continuing education by providing a variety of local and national testing opportunities. This is accomplished through the use of written and computer-adapted assessment and testing instruments. UTC adheres to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.

The University Testing Center is committed to being recognized as a leader for providing quality testing services that are essential to admission, retention, graduation, and post graduation testing needs of UCF students and the surrounding community. The department will be distinctive in providing access and opportunity of quality testing services to a diverse population, as well as flexible and extended testing alternatives that enhance the opportunity to meet institutional and personal deadlines.
