Correspondence for Distance Learning

2-3 WEEKS NOTICE REQUIRED

Please note, due to the current volume of requests for proctoring services, we require that students submit a request for proctoring at least 2-3 weeks in advance of your desired appointment date.

Proctoring services are not available for UCF classroom exams (including make-up exams). Please speak with your instructor/professor about the options available to you.

The University Testing Center (UTC) proctors Correspondence exams for Distance Learning. Currently, proctoring services are available for both paper and online test formats. Correspondence exams are available by appointment only, and you must allow at least 2-3 weeks to complete the registration process and schedule an appointment. Exams must be scheduled to allow full time to be given prior to the close of business on that day. Example: If your exam time limit is 3 hours, then you would need to schedule an appointment no later than 3 hours before the close of business.

The cost for proctoring is based on the time allotted to sit for the exam, not the time that the examinee takes to complete the exam. If your exam length is not on the hour, you must select an appointment length that would accommodate your full exam time. Example: if your exam length is 2.5 hours then you would select the appointment for “3 hours”; if your exam length is 75 minutes, you will select the appointment for “2 hours,” etc.).

Once paid, exam proctoring costs are non-refundable, regardless of whether the exam is completed. Missed appointments require payment of a new proctoring fee.

Postage costs for mailed exam materials are separate from proctoring costs. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for postage information.
