Harvard Law School (HLS) returned to UCF on October 10, 2022, to present to UCF Pre-Law students. Over 100 UCF Pre-Law students attended the presentation by Lucy Cui, Admissions Officer for Harvard Law School J.D. Admissions. UCF was one of only three institutions in Florida that HLS chose to visit this year because of the strength of UCF’s Pre-Law students and their relationship with UCF’s Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising office.
Advisors from the Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising office attended the NAPLA (Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors) in Boston a few years ago, and their Director, Dr. Erin Myszkowski, made a point to connect with the Harvard Law School admissions team while at the conference and talk about UCF’s large and diverse Pre-Law student population. As a result, the Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising hosted HLS at UCF for their first visit the following Fall. UCF typically enrolls one to two students/alumni at HLS each year, which is an admirable amount given the prestige of the law school.
The Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising office regularly hosts both law schools and health professional schools here at UCF for either presentations or one-on-one meetings to educate and recruit our UCF Pre-Health and Pre-Law students and alumni.
