What is myKnight STAR?
myKnight STAR provides tools and advising resources for student success by incorporating data insights and predictive analytics with UCF’s existing advising tools. Academic advisors, faculty members, and other staff can utilize myKnight STAR to schedule student appointments, access student information, view appointment summaries and notes, launch advising campaigns, issue alerts, complete progress reports, and more.

myKnight STAR is the institutional name for the EAB Navigate platform.
Access to myKnight STAR
New and Current Employees
Access to myKnight STAR requires a business need, completion of required training, and security authorization. Follow these steps to gain access and begin using myKnight STAR.
1. Determine Need
Your supervisor or manager will assign training based on your job responsibilities.
2. Complete Training
Complete required training based on identified user role.
Additional follow-up training may be available according to your user role.
3. Request Access
Your supervisor or manager requests access through the internal security authorization process or myKnight STAR call ticket.
4. Access myKnight STAR
Navigate to your Staff Applications in myUCF or log in directly using your NID credentials.

Contact the myKnight STAR team for questions about access to the platform for your area or training requirements. Information on job roles and related myKnight STAR user roles can be found in the myKnight STAR Training and Access for Employees.
myKnight STAR Training
Training for myKnight STAR is facilitated by the Advisor Training and Development Team in Student Success and Advising. The required training is facilitated on-demand through Workday Learning based on user role. Additional synchronous training is provided on specific features and is registered for through Workday Learning unless otherwise noted. Job aids, organized by features, are available in the MKS SharePoint folder (UCF staff login is required to access).

SR100W SR FERPA Training
Audience: All MyKnight STAR users
Format: Asynchronous Web training
Complete one of the following training courses based on your user role.
MKS002 myKnight STAR Basic Access
Audience: Student roles (Tutor, Peer Coach/Advisor) and Front desk staff

MKS101 myKnight STAR Advisor
Audience: Academic Advisors, Success Coaches, and Advisor/Coach Leadership
Format: Asynchronous Web training
MKS103 myKnight STAR Resource
Audience: Professional Staff (Not Advising or Coaching)

Audience: Professional Staff requiring Cases only access

myKnight STAR Job Aids
Access the myKnight STAR SharePoint folder for job aids on how to use platform features. Use your UCF NID credentials to access the shared folder. Job aids are organized by the different platform features.
ServiceNow Ticket
UCF employees may submit a ServiceNow Ticket for the following myKnight STAR platform concerns or requests:
- Reporting technical or system errors
- Provisioning or removing user access in myKnight STAR (must be submitted by the user’s manager/supervisor)
- Requesting set-up/configuration changes for your MKS Location (must be submitted by the Location Admin/ Manager roles for that office/location)
