STARTALK is a federal grant program funded by the National Security Agency with the objective of increasing the number of US students learning less commonly taught language ( Russian) throughout our nation and inspiring those students to language careers, thereby contributing to language workforce development for the Federal Government.
An undergraduate student should have a beginning level of the Russian Language, have good computer skills and help with the data collection, video and voice recordings.
The title of the STARTALK at UCF is “How Words Shape People: Understanding Business Russian Through Proverbs” to learn the Russian language, adding a federal workforce development component, and encouraging transformational experiences for participating high school and rising sophomore students.
