Student Assistant and Peer Mentor Application

Overview 

The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR; www.OUR.ucf.edu) seeks to hire student assistants for the 2021-2022 academic year 

The primary responsibility of this position is to mentor students on how to get involved in research and the various opportunities available for student researchers. This occurs during set “drop-in” and “appointment” hours in the office. 

 The student assistant will also help with research projects, marketing, publicity, events, promotion of undergraduate research at campus events, special projects, and general office tasks. 

Hours 

This position is 15-20 hours per week and must be scheduled Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. 

Starting  

$11 per hour. 

Qualifications 

Applicants in all academic disciplines with the requisite skills are welcome to apply. 

  • Applicants (undergraduate and graduate students) are required to have experience participating in undergraduate research at UCF 
  • Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.  
  • Applicants must be available to work September 2021 through May 2022 
  • Undergraduate students can be enrolled full or part-time, or be taking a ‘gap year’ before graduate school.
