3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing - Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

The Intelligent Systems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering has several positions for students from EXCEL/COMPASS for Spring 2021. The Intelligent Systems Laboratory conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of smart manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and machine learning.

Working on research in the Intelligent Systems Laboratory can build skills in programming, prototyping, and conducting experiments. The Intelligent Systems Laboratory has several ongoing projects on 3D printing/additive manufacturing. Current research focuses on monitoring the health conditions and reliability of additive manufacturing processes as well as predicting the mechanical properties of additively manufactured parts.

If you are interested in contributing to research in the Intelligent Systems Laboratory, please send your resume/CV to Dr. Dazhong Wu (dazhong.wu@ucf.edu) with a subject line “EXCEL/COMPASS 3D Printing”. For more information, please visit http://mae.ucf.edu/dazhongwu/research/
