The Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems (iCPS) Lab at UCF has up to 2 positions for undergraduate research assistants to work on autonomous robots, specifically on the F1tenth autonomous race cars and autonomous drones. The assistant(s) will learn fundamental knowledge and practical skills on robotics, for example the robot operating system (ROS), programming, embedded systems, dynamics, and controls. They will then assist the research team in the lab to develop methods, simulation, experimentation, and publications for robotics research. Depending on the contributions, the assistant(s) may receive authorship on research papers by the lab. The assistant(s) will also have opportunities to participate in autonomous racing competitions. Each assistant is expected to work 10 hours/week and for at least 2 semesters.
