Big-Data is at UCF! The Analytics, Decision and Control Lab is tapping into a live FAA data-feed; this includes weather data (huge-files!), live aircraft position reports (rapid), airport status reports (free-style text), and much much more (we have the 4-V’s: Volume, Velocity, Veracity,
and Variety. We are looking for a team of students interested in developing code and building database systems to support and house
everything coming in. Overall architecture must be designed for real-
time and historical analytics — this will be a first in the aviation field.
