Developing new approaches to study brain dynamics and improve mobility - Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering


During the pandemic, the UCF BRaIN lab primarily offers opportunities to analyze brain (electroencephalography, EEG) data or to help develop smartphone and smart watch apps to promote physical activity and improve mobility.

Undergraduate students will be mentored by Dr. Huang and graduate students in the lab.

Students are expected to join zoom lab meetings and work ~10 hours a week.

Student Requirements

Students will need to be comfortable coding and learning new languages or toolkits independently. To help with EEG analyses students will need to know MATLAB and/or Python. Interest and experience with machine learning or deep learning will be beneficial.
