Branched Flow of Light - Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL)

Recently we did the first observation of the beautiful phenomenon of Branched Flow of light.

There are several parts of the project you could work on. We want to keep studying this phenomenon with new experiments in different regimes, new computational techniques for reconstructions (deep learning could be useful) and for propagation of laser beams, improve or current custom build microscope.

You can work in the several aspect of the project describe above. There are options from performing the experiments, improving the setup, analyzing the data, creating new algorithms to process the data to develop the theory to understand better the Branched flow of light.
