Developing novel electrode material/structure for Li-ion batteries. - Materials Science and Engineering

This project seeks motivated student(s) to in a group (or individually) to develop novel materials or design structures for Li-ion battery electrodes. The successful applicant(s) will assemble coin-cells using a newly developed electrode composites with novel materials and/or structural design to test their electrochemical performances. In the process, the student(s) will be trained on the battery assembly process and the use of glovebox and electrochemical testing instruments. Keywords: Li-ion battery, electrode material, electrochemistry, energy storage materials
