Education Researcher in STEM - Chemistry


We are looking for undergraduate research assistants that are highly motivated. The following project aims to identify key factors that might impact students identifying within their chosen major and how this identity changes over time. The following project will monitor students’ STEM identity by using an established and validated identity questionnaire along with interviews to further elucidate what factors contribute to how students relate to the field of their majors. The undergraduate researchers will focus on qualitative analysis and analyzing students responses to the questionnaire.

Student Requirements

Tasks may include: Literature reviews, study design, collect and analyze data, report writing. Students will submit their research findings to numerous STEM conferences to present poster presentations and/or oral presentations. Undergraduate students in my group typically attend 3-4 conferences per year in my group once they have enough data analyzed.
