Flexible Electronic for Monitoring Heat Stress - Materials Science and Engineering


Undergraduate students majoring in electrical or computer science/ engineering or closely related field are needed to assist in the development of a flexible, wireless, Bluetooth connected electronic wearable for monitoring heart rate, skin temperature, and the skin’s thermal properties.

Student Responsibilities

Potential responsibilities, depending on student's major include: -Writing code to read heart rate and other data collected from skin on a tablet -Connecting electronic hardware on small flexible-PCB footprint -Working in cleanroom to conduct standard photolithography and metal deposition -Reporting findings in a group setting -Participating in lab group research activities -Troubleshooting/problem-solving with some independence
