Florida’s geohazard: Sinkhole - Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering

We want to understand detailed mechanism of Karst sinkhole (especially Florida’s sinkholes). The research methodology is the combition of geomechanics and hydraulics. Physical groundwater model tests will be conducted to investigate movements of soil and water. Sensing and monitoring of sinkholes can be explored.
