Intelligent Manufacturing - Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

The Intelligent Systems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering has several positions for students from EXCEL/COMPASS for Spring 2021. The Intelligent Systems Laboratory conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of intelligent manufacturing, diagnostics, prognostics, additive manufacturing, and machine learning.

Working on research in the Intelligent Systems Laboratory can build skills in programming, prototyping, and conducting experiments. The Intelligent Systems Laboratory has several ongoing projects on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)-enabled smart manufacturing. Current research focuses on developing intelligent manufacturing solutions using sensors and machine learning.
