Materials Science and Engineering – Polymer Sensors - Materials Science and Engineering

Students will learn about polymer and sensors while initially shadowing a senior researcher or graduate student. Undergraduate students are expected to conduct a (semi) independent research project in due time. Projects involve organic chemistry, testing of polymer materials properties including mechanical properties. Projects also involve engineering-based hands-on projects with characterization hardware in preparation for sensor development using soft matter. Students will be expected to participate in group activities, including group meeting and lab safety.
