The Motion Capture Undergraduate Research Assistant works closely with the Motion Capture Engineer in the capture, cleanup, and processing of high quality 3d motion capture data for both real time in a game animation and pre-rendered cinematics. In addition, assistance in research and documentation on best practices for motion capture when not occupied by Mocap duties.

Student Responsibilities
Responsibilities: • Assisting with research on virtual production and motion capture. • Organizing mocap .fbx inventory. • Ongoing care and upkeep of mocap tracking objects. • Assist with setup and calibration of motion capture system. • Become versed Vicon motion capture system and Shogun software • Aid motion capture in day-to-day onset activities· • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Ability to work cross departmentally and effectively communicate to support systems/feature development. • A positive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the team.
