Recycling and automation (AI) for Sustainable Energy Industry. - Materials Science and Engineering


With the increasing efficiency of green energy sources, such as wind energy, and solar energy, societal acceptance has also increased. However, we also see a huge amount of waste generated because of these alternative energy sources. To increase the acceptance of green energy and to move towards sustainable energy sources it is necessary to improve the recycling process. This project will involve using computer vision for automating certain stages of maintenance and recycling.

Students from all academic backgrounds are welcome. The work will involve using computer vision for automation of certain steps in analysis. Coding experience in python is required for this project and some experience with deep learning will also be useful.
