Research Assistant — AI for Mathematical Solvers - Statistics

Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining increasing attention in mathematics and science. While AI has shown significant potential, such as solving mathematical problems in milliseconds compared to hours using traditional algorithms, it remains far from being safe, stable, and fully controllable. This leaves ample room for further study and improvement. This project focuses on applying AI to solve a specific mathematical problem: quadratic programming (QP), which has broad applications in industry, finance, and scientific computing. The goal is to develop fast and stable QP solvers using AI tools. The project will run from January 6, 2025, to April 25, 2025, with a weekly time commitment of 10 hours.
