Research assistant in electric fish lab - Biology

The Crampton Lab conducts research on the sensory ecology of South and Central American electric eels and knifefishes. We are currently looking for students to assist with the construction of electronics for the automated recording of electric fishes in the wild. We are especially interested in students with some experience in electronic circuit design and construction, or Arduino coding skills. We are also interested in students who have some electronic soldering skills (or wish to be trained in soldering) to help with circuit board construction. Finally, we are interested in students with strong skills in tropical fish keeping and/or tropical fish breeding. I have a number of interesting hardware and software design projects in progress, as well as several lab and field-based research projects, with options for field work in remote parts of South America.
