The undergraduate research student will provide general support for the research efforts of Dr. Duranceau’s graduate research assistants. Tasks may include, but not be limited to:
*Be responsible for glassware cleaning and furnace ashing of amber glass containers to include controlled cooling and storage methods;
*Filter water samples to prepare for analysis; this may include pH adjustment actions;
*Perform water quality analysis for pH, temperature, conductivity, total dissolved and suspended solids parameters;
*Help with data acquisition and processing tasks using excel spreadsheets;
*Perform literature searches when needed.
Additional Benefits:
Students can receive class credit (ENV4912).
Students will be compensated! ($11.00/hr; limited to 10 hr/week initially).

This research touches on issues of public health and welfare. Biomedical Science majors and Chemistry majors are welcome to apply, as well as engineers.
